Leg flairs!

so i browsed around the internet for a little while. with intent to buy something cute to wear for camp bisco. but of course everything i see i think, i can make that. so the creative juices started flowing. and i start thinking do i have a cute stretchy fabric? i saw these things this girl makes called leg flairs that you can wear over your leggings!! PERFECT!!! they are light weight so i can wear them in the summer time! i think the girl sold them for 65 bucks and i made them out of an old skirt i found at lythia springs 2 years ago. the material was perfect and the seam already separated each leg for me. so the only thing i had to do is cut the fabric in half, measure my thigh, and sew it up!(and have an allergy attack) it only took me an hour! im so happy i thought about doing it my self now there is one less thing i have to spend my money on.

whats in a name?

im sitting here brainstorming the new name of the company im starting up alone. i want something catchy that will make the girls want to check it out. Love Song Clothing took a lot of thought. and in fact i didnt even think about it. it was shambys idea. i know i want something sweet calming and personal. im thinking...Fairy Moon Clothing or Fairy Mood Clothing, Alluring Culture Clothing oh! i REALLY like that one! Alluring Culture Clothing. Ahhh What a nice ring it has to it. it reels you in with the word, alluring. and keeps you interested with the word, culture and lets you know what it is, clothing! Brilliant! Now, I hope other people that i share the new name with will like it.I think they will it sounds smart. lol oh man the creative juices are flowing Curious Culture Clothing!

brainstorm

So with all this free time on my hands ive had so time to make 3 new hemp necklaces one for me one for jeff and a random one that i think im going to give to kelly. the glass bead i used was from nicole, (adams gf from bristol). i also just got old wooden beads that my mom bought for me when i was a hippy for halloween in 1995.i just made 3 new hemp bracelets with those!and  im almost done with a pair of slipper for ryan! they are my first pair ever and they are coming out really cute. i wish i didnt have to use this tan and pink yarn but ive run out of all the other thick colors i have. other wise the colors are organic and they are brown, green and purple! i wish they were my own! im getting a mind set back for sewing and im coming up with all different ideas for skirts and tops this year. the newest thing im brainstorming is a suede triangle halter top. that ties around the back. and i want a matching skirt too but that will be much harder to explain then the top. but i do want it to be suede, layered and strappy!

wear it!

changing of the seasons

 so, Ive made my final decision today and talked to shamby about ending love song clothing together. as much as i love the idea i think our minds are just in 2 different places for the site. i wanted it to help make money and shamby was using it more for a project. it sounded like it would work well at first but it just seemed to get harder and harder. I would like to learn to work my own website any way. i was very interested already in running the site myself. and want to learn how to. i like the art of taking all the pictures and photoshopping them. i like to design web pages. i dont think it will be much different then using a blog. i think i will have problems with the finer legal things. but all at the same time i think it will flow like water. once i get the power in my hands to make things happen with the motivation of already having a website in my name it will come easy.

shpongled skirts!

i gave 2 out of the 3 gifts to my friends. i gave kelly her white hooded scarf and i gave caroline her yellow and saffron leg warmers! i have yet to give ursula her gift yet. she was at home visiting her family for the holidays.im so happy this x mas thing is over and i can start making things for summer and myself! i just got done working on a "shpongle" skirt. which came out great. its got a cute black adjustable waist and the yarn is very light weight so it will be great to wear in the summer.and it was very quick to make. i was very distracted the whole time making it and it only took a few hours. so if some one liked it i can triple my money when i sell it.
