Fall Photo Shoot

today was one long day of pictures out of 131 pictures 81 came out nice. not bad. cant wait to see which ones shamby picks out of the bunch to put on the website!

leg warmers

im leg warmer crazy right now! i just want to keep on crocheting more they are so cute! the next ones i want to make i want to be yellow!!! mustard yellow!!!  and i want them to be high enough that even all scrunched up they are above my knees! omg i cant wait to start making these! but i dont think i have the color yet. i havent gone into the closet to look just yet. but i was thinking i can do a bunch of different color yellows too if i dont have enough of that color. i dont like settling with the yarns i have when i have something in mind but usually i cant find what my mind thinks of in a store. so im always improvising with my initial plan any way. time to go dig these things up!

prepare

 now that i finished my sweater i feel so much relief .now i can start getting prepared for the photo shoot and im so excited. i found this awesome fabric for the back drop at jo anns but it was like 40 bucks for the amount i was looking for and that was all the money in my pocket so i didnt want to spend it all there. im going to start working on some new leg warmers soon and also start working on a new hat. im unhappy with a lot of the yarn i have right now. which isnt unusual for me. but i dont really have the money to drop on a bunch of heady yard right now. so i have to make due with what i have.

YAY!!

so... i got the hook up and am getting some picture taken of my stuff for free. Hodges from my work said he would help me. im going to buy black fabric one of the next few days coming up to use as a back drop. im super excited to have hodges helping me with this project i totally trust his work (mostly his camera) and i just finished my newest sweater and it came out so good. ive been super motivated again to get this work done. and i figured as long as i got the sweater done i dont have to panic as much about inventory.  and can work on things slowly from here on out.

tomorrow im going picture crazy and and going to get nice clothes on and put make up on and get a whole bunch of pictures of all my new things so i can get them up on the website before its too late! i feel like if we cant do a winter look book right away at least we can have some product up for people to look at anyway. i know a lot of people that are interested right now. so much to do not much time to blog!

Glittens

After I blogged last night. i got motivated and finished Lees gloves. (a handicapped man from my work) They came out great. hodges from my work calls them "glittens" because they are glove/mittens! Corny, i know, but yet so catchy!  I cant wait to make more like them! they do take more thought and time so they will be double the price of my fingerless gloves but i think they are much more useful for the winter time since it give u the option to go fingerless!

back on track

    i got together with Shamby and we talked about the website a little bit.  she was positive about the progress we've both made but brought up the fact that were both learning the best ways to make and/or sell everything. now that i get an extra day off each week i can put more time into my craft. i really want to work on more sweaters and hats. i know i said i wasn't good at hats before but i guess ive gotten better over time. i have a good assortment of gloves already and 2 scarfs.plus those are quick to make so if the 2 sell i can make one before the person even receives the last one!

    im super happy with everything thing ive made so far and this time if i dont like it right off the bat i start over until im impressed with it.i rushed it with a few of the shirts in the summer for the photo shoot and i dont like them that much now and i have to go through them and waste more time on them, making them less profitable to me. time = money.im just really happy that Shamby really likes everything ive made and that she still thinks were moving in the right direction too.  i felt my doubts for a moment when i got so worn out from working so much. but now that im getting a steady balance in my life i can afford to dedicate a few hours a week to crochet. and not feel over whelmed because i love money but my main objective is to always have fun doing it. as soon as it becomes a chore i can not bring myself to pick up the yarn and crochet.
