Preparing For the Shoot!

So, the time has finally come and Wendel and I are doing the photo shoot! To prepare, I took each one of my costumes and inspected them carefully making sure each one was finished perfectly and I even ended up making a new skirt out of a bunch of left over material! Then, I tried everything on, making sure each shirt and skirt had a cute outfit to go with it ahead of time so I'm not searching for something that looks flattering in the middle of the shoot. Tomorrow, I'm going to clean up the room  and set up all the different material for the back round and the floor.I think that will be everything I need to do before Wendel gets here. We're doing this right after work on Saturday so I hope I have enough time to shower, do my make up and hair before he gets here. It will take me about a half hour to get ready. I feel that when we started talking about this back in December I was nervous to pose in front of Wendel, but now i don't feel that way at all! I'm so excited to get these pictures up on my facebook and Etsy Page and I'm going to promote my page a bit too! Plus I'm super proud of this line of clothing I've come up with. Funny thing, I didn't think of the fact that I had sold some things!! So some of my outfits weren't outfits! They were a shirt with gloves or a skirt with leg flares. Whoops! So I'm glad I took the time to sort everything out. Everything looks so cute! I'm not putting anything out that I wouldn't wear myself. The skirt I made today is absolutely beautiful. I can definitely picture it at Camp Bisco 2013! Its blue tied dyed spandex material and has tassels that hang at both hips! EEEKK so excited!

1976!

so here the latest costume ive came up with. i am in love with it!! it fits perfect, its got pockets (even hidden ones) and its a reversible top. i dont usually work with batik fabric but i always thought the prints were so beautiful and original so im going to get so much more of  it! now that im learning how to dart better it will be easier for me to work with a 0 stretch fabric. and now that ive made one vest i know a little better for next time. the pattern i used was from 1976!  i just made a few changes and altercations to make a new sexy look. there are little pockets on the pink side of the vest under both the arms that are hard to see and a big pocket on the hip of the skirt. the leg flares measure 16 inches around the thigh and 27 inches long.

Dada Life white winter tour

it was tough for me to find a proper fabric for the show. a lot of the whites are really see though or to thick for a comfy flexible outfit. but finally i found this one. after the photos i also added more tassels onto one of the leg flares. it gave it an even cuter flowy look!

Bassnectar!!

my best friend jes and i went and raged out at bassnectar! she rocked my leg flares for the first time and looked fabulous in them!!
